Santa Julia has been selected as one of Impact’s ‘Hot Prospect’ wine
brands for its strong growth in the U.S. market in 2010. Winners of the
‘Hot Prospect’ awards were published in the October 15 issue of Impact, a
leading wine and spirits industry newsletter.
In selecting its ‘Hot Prospect’ winners, Impact looked for wine brands that
had annual depletions of at least 50,000 cases and no more than 200,000
cases, while having achieved at least 15% growth in 2010 and solid
progress in the two years prior to that. Sales of Santa Julia wines in the
U.S. grew by more than 15% last year, as the winery found a receptive U.S.
audience for its wines from Mendoza, Argentina.
“We’re delighted to receive such prominent recognition,” said third
generation wine producer Julia Zuccardi, whose name appears on every
bottle of Santa Julia. Her father, Jose Alberto Zuccardi, created the brand
in 1992 in honor of his only daughter’s birth. “The US market is one of our
priorities for Santa Julia. Our wines are true to their Mendoza vineyard
origins, and we feel they are well suited to wine drinkers in the U.S.”
